Logiealmond Estate has been shortlisted in the tenth annual Courier Business Awards.
The Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality category highlights the achievements of businesses which provide the best leisure, food and drink, visitor experiences and/or accommodation within Tayside and Fife, showcasing the region to the world.
Sponsored by Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce, this award recognises service excellence, evidence of brand building and future strategy and commitment to attracting talent and upskilling the workforce.
The historic 5500-acre Logiealmond Estate in Perthshire was purchased from the Mansfield family of Scone Palace, in 2019. An investment of £21.5M, with a vision to restore the land and derelict buildings, has created a year-round holiday destination with luxury accommodation.
Planning permission has recently been approved for a spa, wedding venue, butchery, farm shop and brewery. The Estate attracts visitors from the UK, USA, Chile, South Africa and Europe to enjoy relaxed, warm Scottish hospitality and unique outdoor activities.
Five properties were available for self-catering or fully catered holidays from March 2022, with a further six being completed in September. Seven more are currently being renovated which will provide accommodation for up to 96 guests. On completion of the wedding venue there will be a further ten bedrooms.
With a focus on protecting and enhancing the environment, all properties utilise renewables such as photovoltaics and ground source heat pumps, with private water supplies allowing them to be as off-grid as possible.
The Perthshire Estate with its unique natural setting, encompassing the best of what the Scottish countryside has to offer, is fast becoming world-renowned for its high-quality driven shoot days and simulated clay shooting bringing in many international guests.
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony to be held at the Apex Hotel in Dundee on 28th October.
