Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Star Awards
Logiealmond Estate was named winner of the Excellence in Tourism and Leisure category at the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce 2023 Star Awards.
Announced during a glittering ceremony at Crieff Hydro Hotel on Friday 24th November, the Estate saw off stiff competition from King James VI Golf Club, Murrayshall County Estate, The Enchanted Forrest and Willowgate Activity Centre to take home the coveted trophy.
Estate Manager Philip Blount said, “We are thrilled to win this award which reflects the vision of our Estate’s owners and the commitment of our team to provide a luxury experience for all our guests. We’re grateful to our architects and contractors who have supported us over the past four years to create our amazing holiday properties.”
At Logiealmond Estate our mission is to make our guests’ stay as memorable as possible tailoring our service to their individual needs and expectations. Our luxury accommodation provides a sense of place, allowing our guests the opportunity to relax in the stunning Perthshire countryside, enjoy warm Scottish hospitality, take part in unique outdoor activities and experience the Estate’s rich history and heritage.
Our hospitality team will go the extra mile to personally welcome guests and orientate them into their holiday accommodation. We pay attention to the smallest details, providing lovely touches such as complimentary refreshments, fresh flowers, decanters filled with Scottish spirits, luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes, and making sure our properties are immaculately cleaned between visitors.
Logiealmond Estate is also fast becoming world-renowned for its high-quality driven shoot days and simulated clay shooting attracting visitors from the UK, USA, Chile, South Africa and Europe. Guests are welcome to bring their mountain bikes, horse, or hiking boots to enjoy over 13 miles of tracks on the Estate. Our friendly concierge team can also support with booking sporting and outdoor adventure activities on the estate or nearby with partners Splash White Water Rafting or Fishing on the Tay with Fishponds.
Logiealmond Estate was also shortlisted in the Commitment to the Environment category
Through investments in enhancing the Estate, including improvements in farming and forestry, and in our continuing commitment to becoming a net carbon and off-the-grid environment, we have created a one-of-a-kind setting which can be enjoyed by visitors all year round.
Our properties have been renovated and built in ways sympathetic to the original Estate buildings, following our ecological philosophy. All utilise the latest renewable energy technologies with ground source heat pumps taking natural energy from the earth to provide heat and hot water for all our holiday and staff accommodation. We are currently installing photovoltaics with battery storage for all properties. Thermally efficient insulation makes sure that energy isn’t wasted.
With a focus on protecting and enhancing the rich local biodiversity and landscape, there is ongoing large-scale replanting of over 300,000 mixed native Scottish broadleaf trees. The Estate is home to a vast number of red-listed birds and the highest number of registered birds in Scotland including a golden eagle, ospreys, red kites, buzzards and has 54 breeding pairs of curlews. We are also restoring peatland areas to enhance carbon capture.
By providing an abundance of natural, economic and social opportunities, Logiealmond Estate is committed to creating a sustainable environment and to eventually becoming carbon neutral.
